The Waterside

What a wonderful afternoon tea experience we have had today at The Waterside. From the friendly greeting on our arrival, to our table all laid out in readiness for us, with a gorgeous view of the broad, our drink orders taken immediately we were seated, then the exceptional afternoon tea consisting of plenty of freshly made finger sandwiches with various fillings, warm and tasty mini quiches and sausage rolls, three delicious cakes each, including tasty mini cheesecakes, and to top it all, gorgeous little scones alongside tons of clotted cream and jam! All complimented with endless teas and coffees of our choice. It was excellent value especially due to the savouries included. A lot of afternoon teas leave them out nowadays. I'm not sure why as it used to be a staple once upon a time, so we only choose the ones that include them, hence our visit to The Waterside. I'm so glad we did! Today, we had everything we could wish for. We couldn't have had a more perfect afternoon, perfectly priced. Thank you The Waterside. We will be back! ?
