An absolutely perfect plate of delicious food at a bargain price in a cosy setting.Having been house-hunting in the neighbourhood, we stopped for a late lunch without a reservation. We both had the chicken daily special (£13.95) which was quickly served, well presented and, whilst a simple dish, was delicious and filling. From the friendly greeting on arrival to our departure day we had the most comfortable and relaxing four day stay. Our room was spacious with lots of lovely fluffy towels, toiletries, coffee, tea, chocolate and biscuits and a heated towel rail. We had a bath, walk in shower and chairs and sofas. Lovely hotel, in a beautiful setting. Room was clean and comfortable; receptionist kindly arranged transport to and from our function, for us; restaurant & bar staff were friendly & polite; breakfast was amazing. Very good value for money!
