“I've visited many pubs in my long life. At lunchtime yesterday, New Year's Eve, I went to The Crown for the first time. As soon as I came through the door of this otherwise not very prepossessing building I felt completely happy. No oak beams, no horse brasses etc just three delightfully smiling ladies (3 generations of one family?) behind the bar, warm, simple bar area, and excellent beer. It was a real pleasure to be there and I wish I had known of it long ago. I shall return!”
