Four of us ate here today. Been past the pub so often but never stopped. We have been missing out!3 roast dinners and a huge pie - all much better than any others we have had recently. Good size portions,(huge!) very tasty and decent gravy. Staff were really friendly without being pushy , and the whole experience was so good. Pub was clean tidy and felt so welcoming - we hope to be back soon. Thank you all.
Had no plans to stop here but were hungry. What a find! Really friendly and attentive staff and welcoming locals. We both had Lamb Shanks from the specials board and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We live miles away but would happily eat anything from the extensive menu which was well priced in today's climate. Dog friendly and onsite parking.

The queen of hearts does amazing pies! I had a lamb and mint pie and my partner had a steak and ale pie, mine was great but his was amazing!! A pound of meat in a large pie! The food wasn’t expensive either, only £10 something for my pie meal and £12 something for his large pie meal! The pies come with mash or chips, peas and gravy.The place could probably do with some redecorating but the food was lovely and so were the staff!Plenty of parking, easy to find as well!
