So, as anybody who is from this area, this beautiful pub has been through the ‘Mill’ over the last couple of years……. Changes of ownership, management etc have never brought it back to its hey day years…… However, it’s recently been taken over, but this time to a team that obviously care! It’s clean! Really clean! So lovely to see this beautiful, historical pub back open. As soon as I entered I was greeted with a warm welcome, the fire was lit and it felt so friendly in there and everyone seemed to be in awe of the place. Nice to see a new bar, better lighting and seemed so much cleaner than my last visit. Well done to the new landlords and can’t wait to try the food which apparently is going to be starting in the new year.

A gem of a place, shame we went on the last day of the present landlords trading. Friendly and ale well kept. It is a shame to see old pubs on the brink of closing down. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food.
