“Absolutely delicious lunch. Charming staff. Immaculate loo. Perfect place for our lunch on our bike ride. We scored a window seat and could watch our bikes easily. Highly recommend this place.”

“We’d called for a drink before and wanted to try the food as the menu was extensive and very tempting! We didn’t book, on a Saturday lunchtime, there were quite a few folk in, we got a very warm welcome and friendly service. We were both spoilt for choice! Everything we ate was really good. Piping hot and good portions. We will definitely go back as it’s on a good walk when we stay in the area. A very good, reasonably priced Viognier to wash it down.”

“Honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. Been using this chippy for years. Can’t fault it, nice size portions, my 2nd favourite chippy, with no 1 being Hadleys in Whitby. Never had any issues with the quality of the food. Guessing some people prefer their chips cooked in certain oils.
