Stayed for one night to break journey from Scotland to Lincolnshire. The rooms were clean and cosy for an overnight stay. We ate dinner and breakfast in the dinning room which offered good pub food. The Inn is in a great location close to the A1 near Leeming Bar but without the road noise

We chose to stay here for our visit to surrounding area after reading reviews and photos of accommodation. The pub is very warm and traditional. Our room was just as photos spotlessly clean with comfy bed and anything we needed. We had breakfast each morning which was continental and or cooked breakfast. Cooked breakfast was exceptional with lovely sausages and served nice and hot. ( ideally book your cooked breakfast night before) that way its ready freshly cooked for you and helps reduce wastage. Would recommend for lovely place to stay. They seem to have regular customers in bar and returning happy staying guests.

Staying at the local campsite, the pub was advertised on the notice board and only 5 min walk away so thought worth a try and glad we did. Excellent food, welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere. We had curry from the specials board and lasagne, both homemade and served with chunky chips, the portions were huge!! Definitely be back if ever in the area again.

Such a warm and welcoming pub. Beautiful room, modern, clean and comfortable. We didn’t have dinner but we regretted it because the food coming out looked amazing. We did have breakfast which was fresh and delicious. The staff were fab and very friendly, particularly noticed the young ones waiting in the evening who were just brilliant. Definitely recommend this place. It’s just so warm and welcoming, with very high quality accommodation and food, lovely staff, and beautiful location. ??. Will definitely stay again ♥️

Brilliant little pub! We came for lunch today and it was lovely! Food was fresh and super tasty (garlic mushrooms and Wensleydale chicken were amazing) highly recommend, infact we've booked back in for Saturday! Very accommodating of my children and they brought their food out with starters which is brilliant. We all loved George the dog too!

We stayed at the woodman for one night. We had a chilled afternoon in the bar and lovely evening meal. Our room was modern and had everything you need for a comfortable night.My only negative was that there wasn't a hairdryer in our room as advertised. Cooked breakfast was plentiful and tasty too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend and definitely stay again if in the area.

Our first time at this pub. There's nothing not to like. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pub and staff were friendly. The food was excellent, breakfast and evening meal. A return is definitely on the cards for us!

Really tasty evening meal tonight. Welcoming landlord and atmosphere, very efficient and friendly server and delicious hot food. Spoilt for menu choices, so will go back to try another dish, but all of the food being served looked appetising and artistically presented. Absolutely nothing to fault.
We stayed one night here for my husbands birthday. What a lovely quiet place it was. The room was larger than anticipated and had the benefit of your car right outside (it was raining heavily when we arrived). We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was amazing. Good choice of local produce and so good. Cannot pick fault anywhere. It was a great stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks!

Great meal tonight. Friendly welcome on arrival, good atmosphere, great menu choices plus specials board. Service was excellent, food was delicious and hot! For mid week it was well populated. And they do allow dogs which is useful to know for our next visit. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

We had a excellent stay in this fantastic venue. The rooms are spotless and extremely comfortable. We dined in the restaurant, the home cooked food is delicious using quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Breakfast was equally as good. The staff are welcoming and the most friendly people you can meet. It’s in a perfect location if you are travelling on the A1 for a stopover or for a few days if exploring the surrounding area. Would highly recommend.
