We last came here 10 years ago when it was a quintessential English country pub with oak panelling and a chalk board with daily specials. The current owners bought it five years ago, survived Covid, and have transformed it into a bright and breezy bar and a large restaurant serving Cantonese food. There are also seven hotel rooms. Very friendly service and a nice meal for a family of 4. Perhaps the restaurant could do with refreshing as it seemed dark and lacking atmosphere. We didn't stay in the B and B so not sure what it's like, there were several B and B guests in the restaurant though.

Have stayed here a few times over the last few weeks. Accommodation is good with a good breakfast. We have eaten in the restaurant on each of our stays and the food has been excellent every time. Staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Alice. Will certainly be returning. Pickhill is fortunate to have such a great pub and restaurant.
