Had to put a review because you don't often get quality fish and chips such as these. We had cod and chips and large battered sausage with scraps, mushy peas and two bread buns. Exceptional, by gum can you tell they are cooked in beef dripping. Both the fish & the chips are so tasty & crispy, I cannot imagine any chippy in the country could surpass the quality of Hawes Chippy, top marks, 5 * & served by very friendly staff, JUST GO!!
