Wouldn’t go here if you like to eat - one of the owners (female) likes to bully other women online about what they eat in a day - not great comments to make when you run a dining

Early February day out & had lunch here in the Cafe. I had the ploughmans which was very filling. Great food & service will be back again.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had my 2 year old with us and they moved tables and got everything sorted for him. So thoughtful. The guy serving us couldn't have been nicer! Amazing cake and hot chocolate.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available

We’re so glad we stumbled across Cornercopia (totally by chance). The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our young children, who loved their lunch and ate it all! It’s great to see some creative and different vegetarian options available and my Falafel and beetroot open sandwich was delicious. Everything was very reasonably priced. Thank you for rescuing a hungry family from an imminent hangry toddler meltdown. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Helmsley.

Well what can I say! What an amazing experience we have had today in the Cornercopia, just stunning. A beautiful little eatery next to Helmsley castle. We called in for lunch, staff were friendly and loved the dog, The barista Tracey made us beautiful coffee, I had the french onion soup with bubbling cheese on the top and my partner had the ham hock terrine, all freshly prepared and homemade by the most talented chef. We have eaten in some exceptional places but this is by far the best, well done to all the staff!! We can’t wait to return !!

Had just finished a 4 mile walk round Duncombe Park and Helmsley Castle and needed a sweet treat and coffee. Despite this being a Wednesday in January it was quite busy and the cafe was warm so we sat outside. Scone and cake were very nice although the slice of cake could have done to have been a bit thicker. Coffee was delicious.

After a lovely walk we chose to have drinks & snacks at this delightful cafe. We were warmly welcomed and served quickly. The bacon roll, soda bread toast & vegan cake were all delicious. The Americano coffee was the best I've had whilst out and about and the gentleman (the owner?) who served us was happy to provide a leaflet about a local business where we could buy the coffee for home. The little extras make the experience memorable for all the right reasons and we were all impressed with our brunch today. Many thanks

Only the second time I've been in but will definitely be a regular now. Toasted teacakes are huge! (And really nice!)

The helpful waiter was friendly and organised food not on the menu which our disabled daughter could eat. This doesn’t happen in every restaurant and was greatly appreciated. My husband had the special which was a beef curry - he loved it! The owner checked we were happy with our food. Everyone was extremely friendly and we can’t wait to return.

Stumbled across this place after a stroll through Helmsley. To be honest lots of little eateries about but they all looked the same. This one stood out slightly with their tempting specials board outside. Once inside it was clear that it was a popular choice as we got the last available table. I chose the sweet and savoury board which consisted of a coronation chicken bagel and a scone, both delicious. Kids had a nice little kids pack with sandwiches and snacks etc and husband had the special of an open prawn sandwich. All well presented and fresh. Price was reasonable too. My only drawback would be the one tiny toilet for the whole restaurant, overused and not the cleanest unfortunately. Would definitely return if in the area though, best scone I've had in years!
