Well what can I say! What an amazing experience we have had today in the Cornercopia, just stunning. A beautiful little eatery next to Helmsley castle. We called in for lunch, staff were friendly and loved the dog, The barista Tracey made us beautiful coffee, I had the french onion soup with bubbling cheese on the top and my partner had the ham hock terrine, all freshly prepared and homemade by the most talented chef. Had just finished a 4 mile walk round Duncombe Park and Helmsley Castle and needed a sweet treat and coffee. Despite this being a Wednesday in January it was quite busy and the cafe was warm so we sat outside. Scone and cake were very nice although the slice of cake could have done to have been a bit thicker. Coffee was delicious.

We’re so glad we stumbled across Cornercopia (totally by chance). The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our young children, who loved their lunch and ate it all! It’s great to see some creative and different vegetarian options available and my Falafel and beetroot open sandwich was delicious. Everything was very reasonably priced. Thank you for rescuing a hungry family from an imminent hangry toddler meltdown. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Helmsley.
