Sometimes you read a review and think can that place really be that good! YES IT IS!!!Amazing staff, brilliant food and a place packed with character. You feel as though you belong the moment you walk into the place and that is a really rare commodity! It's a while since I've posted a review, but the pie and chips here forced me to! The best of each that I've had anywhere: perfect, crisp beef dripping chips (veggie version available, so don't worry) and a handmade Wensleydale and caramelised onion pie to die for (which, given the contents, and those chips, is a possibility I suppose, but you'll die happy). Strongly recommended for lovers of this sort of thing; and I'm a lover of this sort of thing.

Just a great pub, we've stayed 3 times in the last 18 months and are never disappointed, great beer, from their own Lamb Brewery, exceptional food and a lovely cosy room to boot, what's not to like?
