A quick pause before a business appointment. Great pot of tea, wonderful friendly service, the menu looked great. Leyburn is very picturesque.

Had a quick trip into the village and came across this cosy coffee shop, we arrived just before closing time and they happily made us some lunch without any fuss, excellent service and the food was top quality!

What a find. Friendly staff, lovely food and very reasonably priced. There aren't many tables, so you may have to wait, but it's worth it.

Very friendly and helpful service with good-sized portions, reasonably priced. Only small so may be hard to get a table at busy times. Recommended.

Walked in as a family of four and started to make our way to an empty table and told that table was for three only not four! We ended up walking back out absolutely shocked at their attitude. Table was clearly big enough for four and we have sat in many other similar sized establishments as a four on similar if not smaller tables. We went elsewhere where we were made to feel very welcome and ironically sat at a smaller table.

Lovely tearoom just off the marketplace. Huge scones and nice selection of cakes. Friendly service and great prices. Good to take the weight off your feet and chill out. There's outdoor seating too when it's warm enough, or if you have muddy boots. Great scones with jam and cream ?

Fabulous coffee house. Visited on Wednesday 27th of September. Very polite staff and couldn’t do too much. X

Called at Leyburn en route to the Forbidden Corner, we ere staying not far away and coincidentally parked right next to this place. We happily stopped in, few tables spare, all two seaters, with one couple having just walked in and sat at a table for 4, which had only two seats set. We asked for a table for three (2 adults and a 5 year old), and the lady behind the counter (owner?), just said they had nothing. The couple on the 4 said they would happily move to a two so we could have the bigger table, and the woman behind the counter just said no we’re not doing that… Now, don’t get me wrong, there might be a reason, health and safety, short of staff to manage covers, whatever, but at least be apologetic and pleasant, maybe offer a reason… the woman was downright rude, the couple who had offered their table up looked embarrassed, clearly didn’t want to stay but were committed… looked like nice food, clean tidy place, but we went to a competitor up the road and the family who ran it were amazing, glad i gave our money to a lovely family run place.

Excellent value for money and friendly staff but a small niggle re. Coffee. They don't serve a flat white as you would get in any other coffee shop and when I queried this they explained the coffee options and I had a lovely latte with 2 shots of espresso. There is a flat white on the menu but the description is not what I serve in the coffee shop where I work - where the menu was curated by a Cumbrian coffee company. I also saw the American described was actually a long black, but again a small niggle that only really matters to coffee snobs. Not an issue but just to be aware of when ordering. The panini was good, with a huge salad, some coleslaw and crisps which for £6.50 is incredible value for money and as such I will be going back to chambers, but in the knowledge that their coffee menu is a bit different. Didn't have a pudding as I was full but the scone looked lovely. In the end I was a bit peeved I didn't have any cash to tip as my total bill was £11 for a large coffee, panini and a can of nice pop - and I overheard another customer asking if they'd undercharged them too. Owner could definitely put prices up if they wanted to, the quality is great.

Well we were recommended here by someone who said the food and scones were good BUT sadly we never got our party of 4 to sit down, we were told we could sit as 2 sets of 2 even though there was a table for 4 not used with menus onAs a Yorkshire man proud of our hospitality here I would say the chambers coffee house did not live up to their proud Yorkshire welcome we usually show here in our countyWhen asked why it was just an unfriendly that’s the way it is and we are only small so said Ruth the rather unfriendly ownerShame on you RuthHowever the coffee shop at the other side of the square was awesome friendly and even tables of four made to feel welcomeI suppose even Nora Batty in Yorkshire was part of our heritage but a strange role model for customer welcome ??

I've had alot of cooked breakfasts in cafes over the years. This has been one of the best I've eaten. Highly recommend.
