Lovely tearoom just off the marketplace. Huge scones and nice selection of cakes. Friendly service and great prices. Good to take the weight off your feet and chill out. There's outdoor seating too when it's warm enough, or if you have muddy boots. Great scones with jam and cream ?
Excellent value for money and friendly staff but a small niggle re. Coffee. They don't serve a flat white as you would get in any other coffee shop and when I queried this they explained the coffee options and I had a lovely latte with 2 shots of espresso. There is a flat white on the menu but the description is not what I serve in the coffee shop where I work - where the menu was curated by a Cumbrian coffee company. Had a quick trip into the village and came across this cosy coffee shop, we arrived just before closing time and they happily made us some lunch without any fuss, excellent service and the food was top quality!
