We really love this place. Stayed twice and it is really a peaceful and cozy place to enjoy a night (or more) in north Yorkshire. Food and drinks are really good, place is clean and nicely decorated, staff friendly. What else could you ask for ? Btw, from some rooms upstairs you can watch the sheeps scattered around the inn.
Came for a family meal with young kids. Service was exemplary from the young girl, attentive but not overbearing and very friendly at a good speed. Food was great quality and fresh, everything we ordered was well executed and tasted homemade with care. Even the kids sausage and mash, the sausages were really good quality meaty ones, not full of rubbish. Puddings were excellent, Creme brûlée and apple pie which were some of the best we’ve eaten. Didn’t stay overnight so unable to rate the rooms however the Welly Burger was awesome and the service was brilliant. Great place, great evening and great food & drink, what more could you ask for?
