We called over to Pateley for an impromptu visit to show my daughter where her great grandparents had lived and I had visited many times as a child. While there, we decided to grab lunch and stumbled upon The Willow. A really cute little cottage converted into a tearoom/restaurant with a great menu and helpful staff. Stayed at the associated cottage where breakfast was included. Absolutely delicious. Fresh fruit and yogurt followed by full English breakfast or poached eggs or whatever you wish. Can’t fault it. Ate in the restaurant twice in the eve, early bird menu. Three courses £18, home cooked food, piping hot and super tasty.

Holidaying once again in the area, we returned here the following year, this time with a black lab puppy in tow. And what a great choice we made once again: super welcome and service, tasty and well-priced food, good ambience and, naturally, dog-friendly. Don't miss the restaurant sign on the left as you walk up the main street - through the arch and just a few steps along. Thank you. We are sure to return.
