I wasn't 100% sold on the idea but I am now that I've been.All cooked piping hot and fresh to an excellent standard in clean hot oil - it makes a difference.Chips were clean, no bad bits and nicely cooked. The fish was fresh tasting, white and in golden crispy batter.The restaurant is cosy but in a good was with an upstairs too. We found Drakes by chance and can only say it was fate, Drakes are to us very Highly recommended, for EVERYTHING...cleanliness ..atmosphere...friendliness...most of all the EXCELLENT Fish n Chips, has to be the BEST we have had for a long time...My compliments to all at DrakesMost EXCELLENT food and serviceWell Dine to all ?
