I popped in this lovely little cafe for a light savoury bite, but as usual I was enticed by the cake!! The owner was a lovely lady, lots of info to share about the area. She certainly gets her 'steps' in on a daily basis as she cooks downstairs and serves upstairs! Only 3 tables, so quite small, but you didn't feel on top of each other! I came to Ripon for a day out and explored the town. Came here for lunch and had a really nice sausage and bacon sandwich with a slice of cake. It was a pleasant lunch, and the cafe has a really nice view of Ripon Cathedral. Very recommended!

I asked Helen to make a cake for my Mums 70th birthday. The request was simple, a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. The cake was not simple when we collected it, it was moist delicious and had frangelico on the top as well. Many of my relatives are cake makers and they all commented on how good it was.
