Great starter and nibbles but certainly not a good burger. Also atmosphere spoilt by a bloke having a business chat on his phone that the whole room could hear both ends.Firstly the Bun was supposed to be a brioche. This clearly isn’t. We go out once a week for a treat (not easy in the current financial climate). We decided to visit Macleods Restaurant for lunch. The staff were great, very helpful and pleasant throughout. But we felt let down with the food. There are only 5 main courses on offer, yet one was not available (the burger) as it had not been delivered! Very disappointed, came for food after an amazing experience at the spa. Baked camembert wasn’t cooked the whole way through with raw garlic in, it was solid in the middle so un-dippable. Prawns came out room temperature which was a little dubious. They did replace both, but still plum average. Bar staff were stand offish, cold and unhelpful, except for the lady who was lovely and welcoming.
