“Dropped in on Saturday morning and ordered two of the swamp breakfast, they arrived quickly and were made using quality ingredients and the tea and coffee were excellent! Reasonable prices and quality food compared to their local competitors. Highly recommended”

“Went in for drinks, good service with a smile, some good history in the place, had a cup of warm pork scratchings, as a fan of scratchings it was different and very nice to have them warm ?”

“Perfect location and very rustic little pub with a lovely beer garden. We were just a bit shocked at what we had to pay for 2 large glasses of lime and soda and 1 packet of crisps. £10! Having read reviews we should have had alcohol as it seems the same price. The bar is just a serving hatch so we didn't see any prices but this seemed very excessive for lime and soda.”

“Popped into this traditional pub after a lovely walk in the sun on the beach with our small dog. Busy even though it was only 12.30, got last table in the bar. Both had a beer and a sandwich each. Bread
very fresh, me tuna wife egg, both with a lovely garnish. Recommend this spot. Well be back.”

“My family and I went for our evening meal to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We have been going to Sneaton castle since it opened, and before that, to the stables. Love John and his family, and food is normally excellent, but this time it was not up to standard unfortunately. Salmon was overcooked and full of bones, also my partners chicken was dry and very flat, like a pancake, not a chicken breast. He left most of it. We were so disappointed as we love going to Sneaton castle for every celebration. Staff are always wonderful and atmosphere was lovely, we were only let down this time by the standard of the food not being as up to par as it normally is.”

“A very warm welcome from the landlady Jane. I was walking the Cleveland Way with my dog and staying at the campsite, so I popped in for a cider. Lovely chatting with you Jane. I wish you all the very best. Warm regards. Kerri”
