Maybe the term Greasy Spoon when originally coined was not intended to be complimentary but now it is a term that describes a declining offer in the market that is no nonsense, good value well cooked breakfasts without skimping on qualitys. Four of us had the full breakfast. With black pudding less than £8 including a mug of tea/coffee. This is no frills but if frills is what you want go somewhere else. If you want a great value and more importantly great quality breakfast then get yourself here.

Absolute belter of a breakfast spot. Open earlier than anywhere else in Whitby, so if you’re planning a long hike along the coast line then look no further than their cooked breakfast that will fuel you for the best part of the day for as little as £7.00! Down to earth, no nonsense. The type of establishment that helped built this country. Long sing the kettle!

Saw the reviews , thought we’d give it a try , and we weren’t disappointed, absolutely beautiful breakfast sandwich, 2 bacon, 2 egg, 2 sausage on a soft roll and a slice of toast , £4.50… bargain , best sarnie I’ve had in a long time ?

Absolutely as it should be, no nonsense Full English breakfast and a mug of tea. Great value... Two days of eating out in Whitby, steak dinners, fish and chips etc... And this was the meal I enjoyed the most. Good honest grub... Loved it!

Absolutely brilliant place, food is great and quick to arrive. Don't know how you can do such a great breakfast for the money without compromising on the quality of the ingredients. Can't wait to come back.

Went to whitby for a 3 day trip stayed just outside of town and saw recommendations for singing kettle and decided to give them a try breakfast was good. Really good value for money staff were friendly and dog friendly extras aren't on the menu but you can ask for extra bacon, sausage etc. Black pudding with lovely too and even though you only get 1 sausage with the breakfast it was great went back the next day for breakfast again. Ask for an extra sausage it's worth it haha
