Maybe the term Greasy Spoon when originally coined was not intended to be complimentary but now it is a term that describes a declining offer in the market that is no nonsense, good value well cooked breakfasts without skimping on qualitys. Four of us had the full breakfast. With black pudding less than £8 including a mug of tea/coffee. This is no frills but if frills is what you want go somewhere else. Absolute belter of a breakfast spot. Open earlier than anywhere else in Whitby, so if you’re planning a long hike along the coast line then look no further than their cooked breakfast that will fuel you for the best part of the day for as little as £7.00! Down to earth, no nonsense. The type of establishment that helped built this country. Long sing the kettle!

Saw the reviews , thought we’d give it a try , and we weren’t disappointed, absolutely beautiful breakfast sandwich, 2 bacon, 2 egg, 2 sausage on a soft roll and a slice of toast , £4.50… bargain , best sarnie I’ve had in a long time ?
