Had a lovely meal here, staff were excellent and could not do enough to help and were clearly very busy, but so polite. The dishes we had were excellent although disappointed in the Pastrami starter which just had some very limp rocket and the pastrami was tasteless. However all other dishes were excellent. Very nice food and very reasonable price for the level of food served. Very reasonable price for drinks too. We had a starters; Smoked Salmon and Crayfish salad. Pickled crab with smoked eel. Mains; Rump of Lamb, dauphine potatoes, mushrooms, parsnip, kale cabbage, port jus. Steak and Ale pie, chips, carrots, brocoli and courgettes. 10/10 on food and service, lovely charming pub and the food is top quality we ordered two steaks and they were both cooked to perfection and very large portions will definitely make this our local now
