We were visiting Kirby Hall and realised it didn’t have a tea room so after looking at google maps decided to go here first, I’m so glad we did. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed, there was an excellent selection of home made cakes or a good alternative menu of sandwiches and other items all reasonably priced. Hidden little gem in the village of Gretton. We were visiting Rockingham castle and was struggling for a coffee shop that was open. Did a quick search and found Lydias which was just under 3 miles from the castle so off we went. A warm village welcome coupled with great coffee and lovely cake. All the other food that came out the kitchen looked good aswell. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. What a gem of a place. We visited Kirby Hall which doesn't have anywhere for coffee and the lovely gentleman in the ticket shop recommended this cafe. A really good cup of tea and excellent coffee, but the cake..... All home baked and just divine. Real value for money.
