I've been dining here for several years but recently the food is mediocre. After attempting to order a cappuccino I was told that the coffee machine was out of action so had to settle for a very disappointing instant coffee.The carvery vegetables are either over cooked or almost raw and the gravy is like water! Just me and a friend, no food - small pre Christmas drink. I have found, whether I am on my own or with company, the staff are very friendly/approachable/knowledgeable with a good sense of humour.

Very good. Quiet at lunchtime but still good friendly service. Ordered fish and chips for two but fryer not available. Alternative choices if Lasagne and the mix it up menu were very good and we were probably better having those
