Tried this pub for dinner after a family member bumped into someone when waking along the canal who recommended the food. Although the menu looked basic the food was delicious and portions were extremely generous. The fish and chips was absolutely lovely! Ham and eggs and hunters chicken also lovely. We have discovered how relaxing it is to complete a long journey but stop one hour before our destination for a rewarding break. We did that today for a traditional Sunday lunch. Typical fare of full roast. We both had pork. OAPs can order special modest portions.
