Very popular on a Sunday & I can see why - the food is great! Mainly roasts purchased in our party, and belly pork. Sadly very little to lure the vegetarians, so I won't be dashing back, but most of my group were extremely impressed!

Had a meal here today for my mums birthday, bearing in mind there were 17 of us we arrived and were seated straight away and was served within half hour (we pre ordered). Now we get to the food...What can I say, it was incredible!! I had fish and chips which was beautiful, it wasn't greasy and was cooked to perfection not dry at all and HUGE, my husband had risotto which he's never had before and he absolutely loved it and said it was just the right portion size, my son had rump steak which was cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth and everybody's meals were piping hot and stayed hot which is a feat in itself when theres such a big party. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I decided not to have a pudding because when they came out they looked equally amazing, I'm definitely going for the eton mess next time!! The staff were top notch too, polite accommodating and made sure our visit was nothing less than perfect. Thank you to you all! We will definitely be back soon!!
Kid-friendliness: The play area in the pub garden and adjacent field are perfect to let the kids run some of the sugar rush off and suitable for toddlers and older kids (even adventurous adults)

Really nice pub with lovely food. We had burgers this time but lots of other really good options that I'm looking forward to trying next time. Burgers themselves though were brilliant. I had the New York one with pastrami which was delicious. Also tried the chicken burgers which were great too. Pub garden has a park/obstacle course for kids which is a big bonus for us. Will be back regularly!

Had a great evening meal here. Would definitely go here again but I live in SW London. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was great. Definitely recommend it. I had a Katsu Curry which was very good. My son had a burger. He said that the Burger was probably the best he'd ever had. We both had a lemon pudding which was very good. Compliments to the Chef. The Ale was good too.

Went to The Crown with my mother who lives in Stoke Bruerne been to the Crown a few times before, the staff, food and atmosphere excellent, Megan who served us was friendly and polite food top notch, highly recommend going.
