My Husband and I only went in for a drink after we had been to the shops, we found the pub clean, tidy and quite, it was in the afternoon so i dont now what its like in the evening, the staff very friendly.
What an absolutely delightful pub. The food was excellent, the drink was spot on and the staff were friendly and helpful. The real log fire and comfortable seats were really welcome after a wander around the shops. Highly recommended.

Many years ago I played in a Goth band and performed in this pub - which was then very much a spit-and-sawdust affair. Now, though, it is a very nice and cosy place - completely transformed. Recommended - particularly for the weekend evenings where great live music is on offer..
