First visit to this lovely, dog-friendly country pub and very impressed. The decor gives it a nice, cosy atmosphere and the menu was a cut above standard pub grub. We tried the spicy nduja arancini, the scallops, the excellent steak and ale pie, sea bass and delicious crème brûlée. Wine by the glass also good. Hope to return soon.
We recently visited this pub/restarant for dinner with friends. We hadn't been for a long time as we were very disappointed the previous time we visited. However we heard there were new owner's and it had been refurbished in recent times. Wow, what a difference. The decor is lovely and much more sophisticated than previously. Myself and a friend spent a wonderful evening here on Saturday. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and boasts some lovely art work. The talented guitar player made for a great ambience and proved the perfect accompaniment to the delicious food. There is a good choice of food and it is presented so well by the most delightful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and I am very much looking forward to returning.
