The service seemed to be staggered so as to not overwhelm the kitchen etc, so on the steady side. We started with some table olives and the Cumberland sausages which was all very nice. I had the Greek burger which was OK, followed by the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake which again was only OK. My wife had a seafood Paella thing (no idea really) followed by a chocolate tort. She said it was all very good. Maybe I just chose the wrong things.Nice restaurant, polite staff. Nothing to complain about.Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area but might be worth booking as people were being turned away when we were there. We did visit during a literature week so might not always be busy.Would I go again? Yes, definitely.

Clear they were busy but managed to fit me in.Quickly got me a Cobra pint.Poppadoms and pickle tray excellent. Served very quickly.Had main prawn Madazy (spelling?). Again speedy service. Great taste. Big prawns!Chapatti was massive.Medium price for mains.

Station Rd, Oundle, PeterboroughNever visited this place before last Sunday but had the opportunity to try the menu as part of a Mother's day outing with the family.Wide choice of dishes on offer to suit all tastes. Being a meat fanatic I chose the Duck pate and steak. Both were in a different class to the usual offerings you get at restaurants and were clearly prepared by a chef that knows what quality looks and tastes like.

Blue Marlin Fish Chip Shop
10 Market Pl, Oundle, PeterboroughLovely proper chip shop (not a kebab shop). All of the fish is freshly cooked to order and is absolutely delicious. Having grown up in a seaside town, I’m used to very high quality fish and chips and this exceeds my standard.The large cod and large chips is big enough for two to share.The staff are lovely and remember your orders/how you like things.

1 New St, Oundle, PeterboroughVery pleasant local coffee shop in the centre of the town. First visit to this place. Delicious mocha. The daim cake was very good and ironically is the only cake they do not make. If you are in the area I recommend a visit.
