Stopped there with my father for lunch after a hospital appointment. Really only expected a sandwich and cup of tea but how wrong we were. Had a delicious and piping hot Christmas Dinner at a very reasonable price. Staff and customers were both friendly and accommodating. My father announced that he would be back - high praise indeed!

I posted my first review to the museum, but luckily was back within 2 days for another lunch, and had the filled breakfast bap with 2 eggs, 2 sausages and 2 bacon. Simple but really really nice. Not greasy at all, came served with a chutney. Filling and good value. Granny going today with her friends on my recommendation. lovely wee cafe, busy, friendly, and well worth a visit.

On a dark dull December day we discovered this gem. Initially we only wanted soup and cups of tea. Is it possible to deliver a smile while wearing a mask, oh yes, our friendly waitress did. How wonderful to meet someone who enjoys her job. Our problem was what to choose, an incredible choice on the large selection board and even more choices on menu.
