The place was packed, the person taking orders wasn’t paying attention, the staff were miserable, the chips undercooked and overpriced, and I’ve had better battered fish from the frozen section of Tesco.Also parking is hellish at the Boulevard so if you’re gonna get a John Dory’s maybe go to the Ballyhack one….Since moving from the petrol station, this John Dory’s has gone from being mostly pretty reliable to awful.I won’t be back.I only went here the other day because...read full review

Went with grandchildren to pick up food for treat dinner. Staff are lovely and when we wanted fish we could always depend on good quality fish at John Dory's Castlereagh. However, the fish we got yesterday was appalling. My grandson and I got two small pieces of the thinness pieces of fish and there was more batter than fish which was not up to usual standard. Smaller store but seems better.Ordered the kids meals and kids enjoyed it. I had the fish and the batter was perfect. Chips were fresh, golden and just perfect inside. The smaller shop does make it feel more crowded when busy so don't like that much but otherwise the staff were happy, customers seemed happy and the new spot may just bring other business to the surrounding shops nearby .The spot JD has replaced stood empty for a while so it is nice to see JD taking the spot and...read full review
