Reviews for The Bethany
Mmmm, where to start? Suffice to say the once superb reputation this place had is gone. Renowned previously for their chicken fillets burgers, now reduced in size by 50%, but not in price. Chips would have appeared to be reheated more than a few times, hard and tasteless. Staff inattentive, no personalities and gave customers the impression they just wanted to go home. Uncleared tables and think that'll be last visit.
The only chip shop I would go to even when I lived in Newtownabbey or further afield I would go here. If Its shut then I would not go to an alternative. Its the bethany or nothing.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step to get into the shop but staff would either try and help you in or cater to your needs.Dining area too small to accommodate wheelchair

You will never beat the Bethany for pasties. And battered sausages, I can't comment on the fish because I don't eat it. The low score for the food isn't on the quality, the food is great! It's got very overpriced and you don't even get a few chips with a pastie anymore ? you have to order a chip and sometimes you don't fancy loads of chips! For the price I think they should do what every other chippy does and give people a scoop of chips with their order!
