Food was good , we were really the only ones around at 730 on a Friday night - it felt like the staff kind of forgot about us and I had to go get someone to get my bill after sitting a while with empty glasses. I’m staying at the hotel and thought I would try it out ; but with so many options so close by here ; the service needs to be a bit better .
Very Disappointing. The Hotel was great, but the Restaurant, not so much. Staff very friendly and cheerful, but slow service. Over half an hour to get some bread. I had pan fried trout, which is not difficult to cook. It was the toughest, driest, chewiest, overcooked fish I have ever had. My wife’s lamb was fatty and tough. We heard some guests at the next table saying how poor it was as well. We didn’t go back.

Some family members and I enjoyed afternoon tea at the Fitzwilliam Hotel restaurant today,so impressed with food especially the vegan option.We were all delighted with the level of service ,in particular Terry and James who attended our table.We have been to quite a few afternoon teas over the years in different hotels but the service and food today has been the best to date,will definitely be back
