Unfortunately we stayed when there was a wedding party in very noisy. And people coming to breakfast with not much clothing on. Staff tried there best to keep things

Great location, close by Carrickfergus Castle. Good service, clean rooms, great continental breakfast.

Normal premier inn, but located next to a Norman castle, harbour and Sainsbury’s. A lot cheaper than staying in Belfast but only a 25 minute drive or train journey from the city centre (station is 10 mins walk)Nearby activities: Carrickfergus Castle is worth a visit.

Smashing place to stay, clean and not a bad breakfast.

Regrettably this hotel has deteriorated quite considerably. A real shame; we have previously had some mist enjoyable stays.

Place was good, but very expensive during first week of September. Reception staff is friendly. Railway station is in walkable distance. Reasonable breakfast. It has a private parking space. Other than the price, it is a good place to stay.

This premier inn is in a pretty place near a quiet harbour. The rooms are just what you expect from Premier Inn, nice and clean and comfortable but not fancy. Premier Inn now do Housekeeping on request rather than every day. I think this is really good as in a six day stay we only really needed it once in the middle, you just need to request it at reception when wanted and leave the door tag out. The hotel was warm in the summer weather, even on the cloudier days, but a fan was provided. We kept the window open all through our stay. The wind did whistle through the hotel but we only noticed that in the corridor just outside our room, inside the room with the door shut it wasn't noticeable.
No waiters, you seat at the table, choose from menu what you want then go to bar to order and pay, they bring your food to the table when is ready, tea and coffee is unlimited, if you bay it you can drink as much as you want, food is very nice and professional staff,Nearby activities: Beautiful castle to see and nice walksFood & drinks: Very nice food, I had hot dog with chips and salad and my hubby had big plate of grilled food?

With children and we knew we had to be out of bar for 10pm so this was fine as we were ready for bed then - bar staff refused to serve anyone in the bar at 9.30pm until all the kids were out of the bar area The tables were never cleaned between different families sitting on them and breakfast cutlery was disgusting

We stayed here as location was key to Jordanstown University.. on arrival we waited a long time to get checked in at desk (no self check in area) .. we arrived at room which was lovely.. everything we needed (although the hair dryer didn't work) went to the restaurant which was busy.. empty tables full of empty glasses, tables sticky, empty plates on tables. Ordered food, steak for kids ( cooked medium rare) couldn't cut through the steak , i tried to even pull it apart - nope .. it was like leather .. so i took it back and got them changed as kida were starving after playing football all day , 2 burnt goujons were then brought out.. I ordered chicken which was like rubber and salad was soaked in vinigeratte. Young girl behind the bar was lovely , very pleasant but let down by (Miss Trunchball ) who made our stay unbearable. My kids were playing a games machine - yes putting pounds upon pounds in it and she walled over and turned it off !!! Awful experience.. there was a large group of us decided to stay here with her kids and we will never return.. we will be in the same area next year and definitely will not be booking premier inn carrickfergus
