82 Moat St, DonaghadeePicture postcard fishing harbour whose brave lifeboat crew were the heroes (there weren’t many) of the January 1950 Princess Victoria disaster. The people of Stranraer and Larne will forever have a soft spot for Donaghadee.
Close by is the pretty shopping streets, coffee shops and distillery.

Harbour and Company Wood Fired Kitchen
31, The Parade, DonaghadeeOver visiting from Sussex, very impressed with the vegetarian option I chose and all the other menu choices made by my family. The food was very fresh and beautifully cooked .
It was busy , however the staff were very attentive and polite . The views were to die for looking over the harbour. Overall a great place to meet&eat ?

The Bull & Claw Donaghadee
7 Moat St, DonaghadeePassing by and thought we would pop in. Food was incredible. I had the beef ribs- it was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Would be worth travelling from Belfast just for this meal again! Prices are a little high but i definitely think it’s worth it for food of this quality. Service was quick and staff were friendly.

The Tivoli Bar
32 Manor St, DonaghadeeMy favourite place in Donaghadee. Very welcoming and friendly place where you can just enjoy a drink as no food served. Great pint of Guinness and they even had The Sexton, a whiskey I’ve been wanting to try for a while. Lovely peat fire going when I was in there yesterday.

5 Bow St, DonaghadeeWent for a late breakfast, food portions were generous very tasty. Dogs are welcome inside, also has an upstairs, plenty of seats was very busy and still got a table. Only slightly disappointing thing was no table service and younger staff we very slow in getting drinks to the table

Bay of Bengal
12 New St, DonaghadeeSo, up until today Bay of Bengal was, in my opinion, the best Indian takeaway anywhere in Co. Down. This was despite them having only a 3* rating on the FHRS. When I queried why it wasn't higher, they said it was due to the chef leaving the rear door open during service as it got very hot in the kitchen. I took them at their word, and enjoyed many lovely meals. Imagine my horror today when I walked past the restaurant and saw that they have just been inspected again and this time received only 1*!!! I am disgusted that they think so little of their customers and dread to think what excuse they would use to cover that up!!! I for one will not be returning.

Card machine was broken but never worry.
Main attraction was the goujons and chips with a garlic mayo, enough to burst my belt buckle!

Roasting hot cod supper, thick chip shop curry sauce. Chips were decent, maybe cooked a touch longer would be my preference. Seems very popular.

23-25 Main St, Ballywalter, NewtownardsVery nice food especially the salted chilli chicken that's my go to order and the chicken balls are great also it's all fresh chicken and the portion size are massive. The only bad thing I would say is there chicken chow mein is very bland it could do with some soya sauce and seasoning but apart from that the rest of the food is amazing
