Quite disappointed with the food, service and pricing. The food was average, missing the wow factor. We had to remind our waiter several times to complete the drinks and side orders. Risotto was bland and lacked flavour. My daughter ordered fish and chips, nothing exceptional bar the price, £19. We live locally but won't be rushing back.
Usually I avoid the ramore collective but Mum loves the Harbour and when they couldn't fit us in, the lady recommended the Mermaid and gave them a quick call to see if they had a seat.I have to say, Im glad we gave it a go! I was part of a large group of about 40 people on a Saturday night. Staff where very friendly and efficient and very capable of handling the large number. It was a set menu which included shared starters which I’m not usually keen on. But ! It was really nice with 4 different dishes coming out with plenty for everyone at the table. I ordered rump steak and it was very nice. Desert was a selection on a platter and again was very nice. On the whole a very nice experience.
