“My husband and I ate here last evening and had a well cooked and well presented Sunday roast, beef for my husband, turkey for me. Meat was good and vegetables good too, perfectly cooked green veg served al dente, just the way I like them.Great ambience and great service, particularly from Willow and Tom who waited on our table. Highly RecommendedWe enjoyed it so much on Sunday that we returned on Tuesday evening!! Again, good food and service. “Been here twice, both times without food, and during the day. This is a busy little pub in a lovely spot, just off a magnificent bay. It attracts lot of people so you often can only sit outside. Beer is fine and brewed there. Think the menu is limited, but that is down to limitations of their size and location. Food looked fresh. Parking is a mile away. But still it brings in the crowds.Parking: Yellow lines everywhere. But there is a free car park in High Newton. Be prepared to walk.”

“We were so impressed with the warm welcome, excellent menu and first class service that as soon as our starters arrived we asked our server to book us in again for the following night. The menu covers both their daytime bistro type offering with an a la carte selection which, while relatively small (around five choices for each course) made us wish we were staying longer so we could try everything. Starters were imaginative but the key was the quality of sauces with the mains. Good quality duck, chicken lamb etc had their taste well enhanced by sauces that nearly had us licking the plate. Portion size too was not neglected and overall it offered astounding value, with the mains typically around £20 which included a generous serving of fresh vegetables. Staff were just lovely and coped well with the external failure of their card machine and we enjoyed a chat with the chef at the end of the evening. Unfortunately Alnwick is a bit far from home for us to pop down but if we're in that area again we'll certainly be back.”

“Very comfortable, quiet room with nice little touches - fresh milk in the fridge, proper coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable. Great dinner and breakfast.Rooms: Very clean, comfortable, nice toiletries in the bathroom, lovely old fashioned bath and lots of hot water.Food & drinks: Good food and drinks(including zero beers). Sticky toffee pudding was simply glorious and the breakfast was delicious.”

“Found Harry's bar paid a visit.what a lovely little bar, rustic with a lovely atmosphere and a great selection of craft beers. We had the added bonus of live music of boy ,girl duet . Lovely singer and boy could the guitarist play.!! We will be back .”

“Booked 2 nights at the Blue Bell Inn for a wedding at Newton Hall. Amazing little B&B and Chloe is a fantastic host! We received email communication from Chloe before our stay, and she gave us a local contact to arrange a local taxi to and from the wedding venue. On arrival, we parked right outside the Inn, and Chloe greeted us and showed us to our rooms. Great ensuite rooms with hairdryer, fresh towels, TV, tea, coffee, kettle etc..with more available if needed. There was even an iron and ironing board upstairs if needed..it was! The family room had a doule and single bed with plenty of pillows , the beds were really comfortable, and we had 2 great nights sleep. Breakfast was a lovely continental style with plenty of choice with fresh toast, boiled eggs, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice, and a vast array of pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, cereals and meats. The little village was lovely, with a small farm shop, golf club and local pub. We had a 10 min walk to the beach, which was stunning! I would definitely recommend the Blue Bell inn.”

“Great location a very short walk from the centre of Alnwick. Room was nice with everything required for a comfortable stay. The B&B is attached to a great little pub which shows sports & serves food. Host really helped by ordering a taxi for me and then went above & beyond by offering to give me a lift to pick up my car in the morning having left it overnight at a wedding venue. Really good value too, would stay again!”
