Very comfortable, quiet room with nice little touches - fresh milk in the fridge, proper coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable. Great dinner and breakfast.Rooms: Very clean, comfortable, nice toiletries in the bathroom, lovely old fashioned bath and lots of hot water.Food & drinks: Good food and drinks(including zero beers). Sticky toffee pudding was simply glorious and the breakfast was delicious.
Only went for Sunday lunch & it was absolutely amazing. Walked in without booking & they were busy but more than accommodating. Home made soup was root veg & chilli & it was delicious followed by roast lamb. Husband had belly pork & kids had chicken. Every plate was cleared. Dogs also welcome.
My friend and I stopped here for Sunday lunch on our way back to Manchester after holidaying on the coast. The food was AMAZING. The dining room was lovely, with a big roaring fire in the fireplace. The service was absolutely beautiful. And the sticky toffee pudding was perfection. We both ate far too much but didn't regret a single morsel consumed.
