The best roast dinner I have had in years, the meat melted, Yorkshire were light & fluffy, vegetables were plentiful, choice was amazing! Staff were so welcoming, helpful & friendly…this is a must if you’re visiting Alnwick!! Thank you…”

“No food. Nice, cosy and friendly. We have regular meetings here and always recieve a warm welcome. Very reasonable prices. No onside parking but can park on road after 6pm or use public car park behind the Playhouse, a few minutes walk. For those with mobility issues,Has a step into building and stairs to the top half of the bar and a lot of steep stairs up to the room which is for hire.”

“We Called in last night after a day out,The Farriers is perfectly situated on the X15 bus route with the bus stop right at the doorWe ordered a pint of Madri and then we ordered fish and chips from “Off the hook” chippy van situated in the Car park to the rear of the pubThe F&C were THAT good we ate them before taking a pic ? the best bit was we sat in the comfort of the bar to eat them, what’s not to love,“Off the Hook” are at the Farriers every Saturday night serving freshly cooked chippy goodies from 1730hrs to 1930 hrsThe Pub is open every day from 5pm as it doubles as The Running Fox through the dayThe Farriers is one of the last true Northumbrian pubs , proper beer with real people”

“Excellent range of single malt whisky. Good selection of ales. The only thing that let it down for me was a bit of a damp smell. But I would still recommend a visit if you go to Alnwick.”

“Been here twice, both times without food, and during the day. This is a busy little pub in a lovely spot, just off a magnificent bay. It attracts lot of people so you often can only sit outside. Beer is fine and brewed there. Think the menu is limited, but that is down to limitations of their size and location. Food looked fresh. Parking is a mile away. But still it brings in the crowds.Parking: Yellow lines everywhere. But there is a free car park in High Newton. Be prepared to walk.”
