I eat here at least twice a week & have done for about 4 years Luke the barman is exceptional at his job.Cheerful helpful and makes sure all your needs are met. Lucy has been trained by Luke and she too delivers excellent service They both are a credit. to the company. When you visit try the Apple Crumble it is fantastic!

This is one of our favourite museums as a family. Firstly it is so accessible both for me as someone with a physical disability, and for other family members who are neurodiverse.

Woodhorn museum is probably the most physically accessible place I've visited with two exceptions -
The playground;
The cafe.

Now my kids are older, I don't worry about the playground so much as they play without needing me but a few years ago there's no way I could have got my mobility scooter up or around there.

The café, I've tried twice to navigate with my scooter and it's not set out right for independent scooter/wheelchair users. Food/drink items are too high too reach, it's too difficult to both carry a tray of food and drive a scooter or wheelchair, and there are too many tables to safely get in/out.

Aside from this (and I recognise I said that it's probably the most accessible which hopefully shows how inaccessible some places are while believing they tick every box!) I love Woodhorn!

Firstly, the price is incredible and kids under 16 go free- plus the pass lasts a whole year. So once we have it we will drive up a few times a year. There is always something different going on each school holiday to draw us back, although to be honest my girls love going through the mining history museum every time due to it's interactive features anyway!

An ideal local for surrounding residents or those dropping by while travelling although a little off the beaten track for the latter. Decent range of drinks and the food is always good and quickly delivered. I myself today enjoyed a couple of Stellas and the peri peri chicken nachos, delicious to say the least, and my mate Michael concurred, tremendously enjoying his John Smiths too while sharing the nachos, which wasn't a problem due to the size of the portion ?
Attentive, welcoming bar staff, and a good mix of seemingly regulars who were all friendly and, like us, enjoying a Friday afternoon drop of relaxation. Plenty of outside seating both out front next to the car park and also the beer garden at the rear. Bravo. Plenty for all including families, although today was beautifully sprog-free. I love children but I couldn't eat a whole one.

Our 2nd order from the Taj in just a few days (our first review on Google and TripAdvisor) we haven't tried a curry yet, but we called in for a snack after the pub tonight. Had king prawn bhuna on puri, keema nan and peshwari nan, we also tried the onion bharji. All were very tasty, prawns were lovely (not too fishy) and a definite improvement on onion bharji which were more moist. New owners are also lovely too. thanks again, highly recommended

You have off street and on street parking. The shop from is clean and inviting.
To enter the store a small step is in place.
They do have a few tablets and chairs to sit and enjoy your food ordered.
I was made to feel welcome and the day specials was explained to me
I ordered the mince and Dumplings to go. I also got a cheeky bit of crunchie cake.
I did go in with the intention to get a tuna salad. ?
The food was nice and had alot of flavour to it.

This place is *AMAZING* and I'm mega fussy place is spotless clean the staff are literally perfect like talking to family and the main thing the food is to notch good portions are great flavour is fantastic and they were very helpful about my allergies the burgers are wow im not a little guy im stuffed the cake is a different level of wow gona take me 3 goes to eat it thanks again to be amazing woman that served us

i love this place so much!! i go so often me and the owners are mates, the food is soooooo cheap yet so good, id pay like a million quid for a tub of garlic sauce. the chips are so crispy and fresh, kebabs unreal, pizzas, oh my days, the pizzas....BEST PIZZA IVE EVER HAD!! I had a friend put me onto this place and it was so good i had to share, i literally have a mate who i bond over this place with. GO BEFORE THE PRICES INCREASE !!
