Rooms and reception staff as you would expect. Clean and very professional reception staff. However, the food offering is at best 2/5. The restaurant staff are very variable they go through the expected customer checklist but have, in my experience, little enthusiasm. The food offering is lacking, and it is average at best. My recent experience at the Ashington Premier Inn surpassed all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warmth and professionalism made me feel incredibly welcome. Room was cleaned and set up to a very high standard. Halloween goodies left for our two children as well. Restaurant attached was lovely and we enjoyed a great breakfast. Reception staff very accommodating and welcoming. Location is beautiful. Overlooking a little lochan with lots of wildlife. Just a pity the weather wasn't behaving well the day we arrived and left. Great stop enroute south.
