I’ve been using Ocean Palace for about 5 years. The quality definitely dipped last year but it’s been better than ever recently. Prices are decent but they only accept cash, having previously accepted cards. I’ll not use anywhere else locally.

I’m adamant northerners are just used to average food and call it ‘the best’. For the price I was expecting something special. But it’s average at best. Lacks flavour. You can tell it’s pre made, it literally took 5minutes to cook. The meat was chewy. The sauce was meant to be spicy/hot but had no kick. I was edible but won’t be going back.To top it off, the ignorance from the lady on the front desk. Lacks customer service. There are plenty other Chinese shops in bedlington....read full review

Lovely food, but the front of house staff (especially whoever answers the phone) needs some serious training with regards to customer services. Discussing this with friends and family suggests the feeling of hostility is a common occurrence.
