Great cafe, no wonder it is sold as the best in Northumberland.We stopped off for a coffee and a cake after walking the heritage trail up to the waterfall.Nothing was too much trouble and we had a much needed pit stop.We did not stop so cannot comment on the rooms.Nearby activities: Very close to the start of the heritage trail up to the waterfalls, well worth the walk up to the top falls.
Enthusiastic and helpful staff. The sandwich was tasty and very filling. Lovely place to stop and have lunch. My husband always enjoys their half monty with an easy swap for a food not liked to an alternative.

Exceptional Sunday lunch I was passing through the area n stopped for lunch, as it was a Sunday I opted for the lamb roast & was not disappointed. Plenty of meat, veggies cooked to perfection & a belly bursting portion. Shame I don't live locally because I'd love to visit this place again ???
