Been coming here every now and again over the last 30 years. Doesn't change much, although looked a little less dated when we visited today.The shop is quite basic, some biscuits, jams and some crafty stuff, as far as I could tell. However, we came for the tea room.We last visited maybe 5 years ago, and i think the menu has been much reduced. No hot meals other than soup of the day. We stopped off here for a cuppa and a scone and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of each. Excellent value for money too.The only downside is the place looks completely closed until you get right up to the door, and even then it still looks shut.

A lovely little shop with a lovely bright cafe. Staff were amazing and very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Delicious scones and lemon drizzle cake and lovely big mug of coffee. We also purchased some cookies/biscuits and meringue to takeaway (highly recommend purchasing these) 10/10 definitely worth a visit if you are near!! Oh yeah and lovely jars of jams. Good prices!
