First visit to Mr Brown's but it won't be our last!A warm welcome by staff even though they were extremely busy. We were told where there were available tables on the ground floor and in the upstairs seating area. All very clean and tidy, good quality seating, tables and decor, a very pleasant atmosphere and the other diners were friendly.Not a vast, finicky menu but a very good 'normal' one with classic dishes. Nice little cafe. Dropped in on a cold grey day. Nice pleasant staff and warm atmosphere. Had a coffee and hot chocolate followed by a ploughman’s, reasonable sized portion and priced right. The food and drink were ok.

Escaped a rainy afternoon for lunch of parsnip soup and halloumi panini at a very decent price. Very well seasoned, tasty food and friendly polite staff. Food came very quick and there was illy coffee, scones and cakes on offer. Further seating available upstairs which I didn't see because we got ourselves a spot downstairs by the heater! Perfect ?
