4 Hall Terrace, Gilsland, BramptonHad the best time here while on the Hadrian wall route. Luckily landed on a night the greek food truck was out front so they were open later than usual. Food was amazing, baked goods were delicious and Andi was hands down one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Blenkinsopp Castle Inn, BramptonWe went here for Sunday lunch yesterday (Mother's Day) with several members of our family who had travelled from as far away as North Yorkshire. The food was very good, served hot, and had decent-sized servings on everyone's plate. The dining room had a lovely open fire, and the ambiance was chilled and calm. The bar and waiting staff were very good, attentive but not intrusive and all in all, it was a very pleasant experience.Food & drinks: A good selection of food and drinks is available, with something to satisfy everyone's tastes.

The Capon Tree
27 Front St, BramptonPopped in yesterday for a light lunch, which was very nice and excellent value. I'd recommend getting there just before 12 for the best choice of seats, though they do also have seating upstairs. Parking is disc on the main street and market place, and for two hours. The cakes and tray bake are also excellent and I believe the owners do all the baking/cooking of themselves and you can tell. Delicious! Payment is cash only.

17 Front St, BramptonEscaped a rainy afternoon for lunch of parsnip soup and halloumi panini at a very decent price. Very well seasoned, tasty food and friendly polite staff. Food came very quick and there was illy coffee, scones and cakes on offer. Further seating available upstairs which I didn't see because we got ourselves a spot downstairs by the heater! Perfect ?

Morrisons
Corton Wood, Brampton, Brampton Bierlow, BarnsleyBeen going to morrisons at cortonwood since it opened, but recently there's a security guard that follows me and my husband every week, down every isle, and even at the check out , I get really upset about this as we go every week , last night was the final straw, I'm shopping else where next week , don't really want to but he makes me feel really uncomfortable
