Dropped in on the spur of the moment, not really expecting to get a table.They were so helpful and somehow fitted us in between reservations.The food was lovely, the beer was tasty, and everyone was very polite, friendly and helpful.

Amazing food, lovely rural pub vibes and really nice attentive staff.Got a beef and pork dinner as well as some starters and they were 10/10. Would happily travel to Hexham just to have them again. The mulled cider was superb

Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere, open fire on a cold day gave a really good feeling. Lovely staff. Limited lunch menu but should be able to find something for most tastes. My wife and I both had the burger which was very good, we 'upgraded' to the triple cooked chips which were excellent. Good choice of drinks including the outstanding Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Overall very good, would not hesitate to return or recommend.
