Lovely staff! Squeezed me in near to closing time, but didn't rush me or compromise on service. Lots of food had run out for the day (a good sign!) but I was offered soup and a sandwich as a compromise of what I'd been looking at on the menu. Both were very tasty, and I grabbed a box of small pastries to take away - these were delicious. The food was just what I needed after a long drive up to Hexham, and the friendliness of the staff was an ideal welcome to the town :)Vegetarian...read full review

Very nice old cafe with lots of choices to have breakfast and lunch.Very yummy and well served.Not big portions but they are very nice.Lots of staff to attend quickly and efficiently.All cakes deserved 10/10 especially the fruit scone with cinnamon touch.

We called in twice during the day, the first for mid-morning coffee, the second for coffee and a light snack. Nice place, great staff, good coffee and a good chouse of scones, cakes etc.
