We had a family meal while staying nearby and we found this pub to be really good: a good range of pub food, well cooked and decent portions. Great selection of ales too. Excellent service and value for money.
This place was really busy even for a Monday evening so booking is recommended. The staff were brilliant even helping extensively to get the right food for a lady with allergies on the next table to ours. Our meals were great and reasonably priced

It was late on the Sunday so it was very quiet. Food was nice and service was warm and friendly. It wasn't a pub I would have thought to head to for dinner but it's clearly had a complete refurb and definitely worth a visit if in Hexham and looking for low key food and a drink.
